NIKOLAY PLACHKOV

Working in the field of geometrical abstraction, Nikolay Plachkov introduces sensuous painting with great intensity. The artist's aim in not an imitation of the material world but creating his own poetic planimetry and symbolism. The main purpose of his painting is to convey poetic feelings, experiences and good spirits.
Giving pleasure to eyes with the vibrations of colour and line, of composition and temper, the pictures touch the epicurian in each of us. Their colourful geometrical rhythms are for eye pleasure. Symmetry and asymmetry, balance and contrast, movement and stillness are the basic dimensions of this world, which focuses in the category of rhythm - rhythm of forms, lines and colours.
Out of a few motives only the artist unfolds a rich picture of experiences, penetrated in the gentle texture of this abstract painting as well as vitally unbridled in their great enthusiastically excited brightness.
Nikolay Plachkov rejects the conventional imitation in order to be in touch with the essential aspects in image and spirit of our generation.
